Brian and Maggie Mortell Catering LimerickMortells is in its 51st year as a delicatessan, restaurant, catering company. The Mortell family started in the food business in Charleville, Co Cork in 1881 as a fish and game shop and has continued the family tradition to the present day at their premises on Roches St., Limerick

Brian Mortell is well known for the pride he takes in his business. He trained in Bentleys seafood restaurant and at the Sobell catering company in London he then spent sometime in New York and then came back to Ireland where he spent time at Gabys Seafood restaurant in Killarney before taking over the family business from his father Patrick over 20 years ago.

Brian caters for everyones individual needs and acknowledges that every client is different in their requirements that is why all his menus are tailormade to suit their needs.. He has a one function per day policy and stays with his client until they are fully satisfied with their day.

Since taking over the company Brian has catered for countless funerals, weddings, private parties and corporate events from Manorhamilton to Valencia Island.

Not only does Brian run his successful catering company he also serves the public on a day to day basis helped by his wife Margaret and staff at his restaurant on Roches St., Limerick. Brians speciality is Fresh Fish which is cooked to order, he makes everything that is sold in the restaurant and can tell you every ingredient that is used which he says is very important in this day of food intolerence
